'15 September As The Page Turns

September has snuck up on the library staff.  We have been busy getting ready for the annual book sale that was on September 12th.  If you missed the sale you can still look over the books that are left through the rest of the month.  The library will have the books in the front part of the library.  All monies donated will be used for library improvements.

New AC  After a hot summer, the library staff is happy to report that we have all of our air conditioning units up and running.  The library purchased new AC/heat units for the community room and the sunroom.  While these were being replaced a third AC unit went out.  It has now been replaced also.  The library is working to raise funds to replace the last two AC/heat units and one more heat unit.  All of these units were the original units and are now over 20 years old.

Library Children’s Programs – Fall programs have begun.  The first WAC session saw 69 kids in attendance.  With the extra helpers we had 91 kids in the library.  The first Story Hour morning had 19 children in attendance.  It is great to have so many kids in the community that want to come to the library.

On Display – Origami creations by two young men in our community are on display for the month.  Abe Staples and Mattox Schweitzer were inspired to make their origami projects after reading the book series by Tom Angleberger titled Origami Yoda Files.  Stop by and check out their display.
