April has arrived and so have the spring baskets in the library. This fundraiser is a silent auction and all monies raised will go towards the updating of the AC/Heating units or the front foyer. This year there are 4 baskets that are on display for people to come in and put down a silent bid. On May 1st the highest bidder will get their May basket.
Baskets this year are a knit/crochet basket, a grilling basket, a Lego basket and a gardening basket. The library also has a library table from the old library out for silent bids also. The staff is looking forward to seeing many people in the library bidding this month.
The Northern Plains League Art Show was a huge success in the library in the month of March. 233 people came to the library just to look at the art. 42 people attended the awards ceremony that concluded the exhibit.
April also signals the winding down of the children’s programming. April 24th will be the last story hour program and April 29th will be the last WAC program. Be looking for enrollment forms for Summer Reading that will begin on May 28th. “Every Hero Has A Story” is the 2015 summer reading theme.
