09 Veteran's Day

The Osborne Public Library hosted a Veteran's program as part of their after school program on Wednesday November 11th. Members of the Osborne VFW auxiliary presented the American flags. Veterans representing the five branches of service, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard, presented their flags. After the veteran's explained their flags and what the pictures on them stood for, they answered questions from the children.

Librarian, Karen Wallace, read the books "F is for Flag" and "H is for Honor" to the 46 kids that were in attendance. These books explained different military terms in an alphabet fashion.

The children were then taken over to the Carnegie Library to meet with other veterans and view some of the items that they had on display. It was a great day.
